Thank you for visiting Roussis Reptiles'
website. Reptiles have been my life's
passion ever since I received my first
reptile as a gift. I was seven years
old at the time and have never since
been without reptiles, a passion I cherish.
As a child, my love of snakes and my
natural scientific inclination kept
me engrossed in any readings related
to snakes, reptiles, or their genetics,
husbandry, and reproduction. However,
as I entered into my teens, simply owning
and reading about snakes was no longer
enough to satisfy my curiosity. The
time had come for me to start breeding
snakes on my own.
| Beginning with my
first efforts, I kept comprehensive
genetic and breeding records for
all of my animals. My first success
with breeding reptiles came with
Albino Burmese. This not only
motivated me but brought me the
monetary compensation needed to
take my projects to the next level.
Shortly thereafter I purchased
my first pair of heterozygous
for Albino Ball Pythons, a move
I have never regretted. |
From then on, I have concentrated my
efforts on breeding and raising the
animals in my collection. I realized
that success hinged on hatching and
raising offspring for future breeding.
Therefore, what began as a relatively
small breeding project now consists
of several hundred animals and growing,
constantly adding and holding animals
back.
| In 1999, I was invited
to speak before the New York Herpetological
Society in Manhattan on the captive
reproduction and husbandry of
these animals. I was extremely
honored to speak formally on a
topic about which I am so passionate.
In the near future, I hope to
initiate a series of research
projects on Python genetics with
a local laboratory. I plan to
dedicate a section of this site
to these projects as they occur. |

Between the breeding, raising, and upkeep
of the animals, the maintenance of this
site, and responding to customer inquiries,
Roussis Reptiles has become an after-hours
labor of love. Please visit this site

and other breeding-related activity
are frequently made.
